Have you ever heard the story of Icarus, you know, the dude who (against all warnings) flew too close to the sun and his wings melted off and he fell into the sea for one last swim? That was us on this most recent standby trip to Tokyo. Well, we didn't crash in the sea. But we did crash and burn on our attempts to get there!

It's age old wisdom that you don't nonrev during holidays and during peak season. So what are we doing on this video? We're nonrevving during Spring Break to Tokyo during the peak cherry blossom season. We thought "there's tons of seats!" so we're going to be fine. The fine people of Twitter told us we were nuts. Well, we had to do it. For science.

And while you're here, check out a bit of insight for how we plan and pack for our trips, especially ones where we aren't sure we know where we're going to get or what route we'll take. Planning makes the difference, and we'll show you how we do it!
