Obada (20), who fled Syria, is one of the largest YouTubers in the Netherlands with over two million subscribers. In the typically Dutch village of Angeren where he lives, he records comical Arabic sketches.
He has millions of online fans in the Middle East, but in the Netherlands he finds little connection. Nobody knows him here, he barely speaks the language, and his father doesn't like his YouTube career. What is it like for a young newcomer to meet the expectations of your parents when you yourself have a different future in mind?
