On the fourth day of Tour de Mont Blanc hike we had a very big descend of 1.1km. It’s so fascinating to observe how the fauna and the terrain environment changes with each hundred of meters in altitude. From snow and rocks, to scorching sun and forest. The first part of the descend was probably the toughest hike we had in our lives. Many dangerous passes, big mountain stream crossing which completely soaked our shoes and by the end of the descend - a super difficult 90 degrees rock climbing with ropes and chains type of hike. It was very challenging but so exciting! After the first descend we crossed into Italy and continued our way down the valley to Courmayeur town, where after many days we had a chance to stay in a hotel and refresh ourselves for the next days of adventures!
