Hello friends!! Grab a seat and get comfortable because this studio vlog sums up a whole month of my life working as a full-time freelance artist!

I packed this vlog with bits and pieces of my workday throughout the month of August so you can get a good sense of what it's like to work as a freelance illustrator. Come watch over my shoulder as I draw and paint in the studio, hustle to meet deadlines, unpack new art supplies, and work through my to-do list so you know exactly what personal and client illustration projects I am working on!

If all goes as planned, I will be releasing a new art studio vlog every month going forward so if that's your thing, be sure to subscribe and stay tuned for next month's vlog!

Questions I answered in this vlog:
[15:57] - Where did you find the colored pencil trays in the last vlog
[19:45] - I've been asked to do an illustration for a board game by a company. It was originally my friend's commission, but she thought my art style would better suit the client's idea so she's outsourcing and hiring me to do it. How would I go about this commission?

Interview for Steph Fizer Coleman's class, Illustration Career Jumpstart
Steph is a fellow illustrator and Skillshare top teacher, and has created a bootcamp-style class to help artists define their illustration career goals and build a thriving, sustainable illustration business. She interviewed me (and other working illustrators) as a part of the class. Registration is limited and open from Sep 21-28:
