DeltaHawk Engines is pumping things up... and has added two new higher horsepower engine models to its family of jet-fueled piston engines. Both of the new engines are based upon the architecture of the company's DHK180, which was FAA Certified in April 2023 and is now being readied for production ahead of anticipated deliveries later this year. The ArkanSTOL organizers tell ANN that the “Ozark Backwoods Challenge” grew from an idea around a campfire to a one-of-a-kind aviation event that has wildly exceeded our expectations. The executive team recognizes the need for a season of recalibration to ensure a robust future for ArkanSTOL and time to develop a more sustainable growth model. Therefore, we have elected to take a one-year pause and not hold the Challenge in 2024. The latest Van's Aircraft situational update has repeated a familiar refrain... that builders can eventually get what they paid for... but it's going to cost them more money... The current update answers questions about deposits paid for high-ticket items like props and engines... All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
