We are a young family living completely OFF GRID in a woodland that we have grown from scratch over the past 15 years. Today we are sharing how we are developing a FOOD FOREST, moving away from having an orchard to following more permaculture-based ideas.

Foods growing in our food forest:
Greengages
Victoria plums
Pears (many varieties)
Apples (many varieties)
Blackberries
Sweet chestnuts
Hazelnuts (and Kentish cobnuts)
Walnuts
Choke berries
Elaeagnus berries

When we bought the land many years ago it was an empty field. It is now a young woodland, with an increasingly diverse selection of trees, shrubs and wildlife. We are passionate about this approach to growing food and look forward to improving it further over the coming years. If you would like to join us on our journey, please consider subscribing.

If you have any questions or comments, please add them into the comments section below and we will get back to you.
