The Idol (HBO, 2023) is created by Sam Levinson (Euphoria), Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim. It follows a popstar, Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), on the verge of a comeback after suffering a mental break. She develops a relationship with Tedros (The Weeknd), a shady club owner who might not have her best interests at heart.
