What is a queerplatonic relationship (QPR)?? We clueless aromantics are here to tell you! Have y'all heard the term "friends with benefits"? This is perhaps one popularized version of a QPR. QPRs are limitless, and have the capacity to break just about any stereotype or preconceived notion about the nature of relationships that you could imagine. They are not romantic, but not platonic, but rather somewhere in between -- though some may feel that their QPR is entirely separate from the concepts of "romantic" and "platonic". QPRs defy amatonormativity (we have a whole video about this if you are not yet familiar with the term) and allow humans to interact and form relationships as we choose as opposed to abiding by the restrictive rules of life and love that are fed to us across media and through cultural traditions and beliefs. QPRs are common amongst aromantics (those who do not experience romantic attraction), challenging the idea that all aromantics are inherently loveless or unable to form meaningful relationships. QPRs are diverse and wonderful, and we sure do love our experience with our own QPR.

Sorry about the focus in this video... eek.
