Silco’s decision to choose Jinx over an independent Zaun is a real headscratcher, but there’s a LOT about this character that didn’t make much sense to me. He overthrows Vander to go to war, but doesn’t. He wants to help the undercity, but he just gets them all addicted to drugs. Why does he adopt Powder in the first place? These questions are all linked: his love for Jinx IS his love for Zaun (and is his hatred for Vander and Vi as well). Understanding how these separate facets of Silco’s personality are all connected will unlock the mystery of his final act of his life.
