Victoria has recorded 535 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and another death, as Melbourne's CBD shuts down ahead of planned anti-lockdown protests.

Of the new infections, 62 have been so far linked to known cases or outbreaks.

They were detected from more than 61-thousand test results processed yesterday.
