Looking for a cheap car with more than 300bhp? Some of the most powerful cheap cars you can buy second hand? Look no further than this video, as I walk you through 5 cars with 300bhp or more that you can buy for less than £7,500.

Originally this was going to be cheap cars with 300bhp under £5,000, but I very quickly realised that £5k cars with 300bhp are properly scraping the barrel! £7,500 gives you a perfect amount of money to get something decently desirable, rather than just a random old merc/BMW that has abour 50 million miles on it.

300bhp is a huge amount of power, classic supercars used to make that much power, and yet today you can get it in an estate! World Rally Championship cars are currently limited to 380bhp, so you can really see that this power is fairly punchy.

In this video I provide the stats, specs, costs of ownership, and other relevant information to these cars – let me know in the comments if I’ve made any mistakes or if there are obvious omissions from the list that I should have known!

And yes - maintenance is always important with an older car (and even newer cars lets be honest), and you can mod pretty much anything to get 300bhp, just depends how much you wanna spend. As mentioned, this video is only interested in cars that left the factory with 300bhp!
