As the winter snow started to melt and spring was approaching, we were getting eager to get out and explore more of our land. Being that it's our first spring here—we really wanted to hit the ground running and get a better sense of our forest and how we could optimize it for health. We brought in Michael DeMunn—a well-respected local forester and conservationist to walk the land with us and read the forest through the trees so to speak.
Though we only got through a small portion of the forest—his wisdom and insights really helped us understand what we need to do to optimize forest health and be better stewards on the land.
Enjoy this walk in the woods!
