This trail is called "Oriflamme Canyon". It's located in Julian, California (USA) and is rated as a moderately difficult 4WD trail, but because of the current trail conditions, it would probably rate between moderate/difficult. This means that it is difficult/severe for AWD.

I know a lot of people are wondering how a Subaru Outback Wilderness really performs, and this video will answer many questions. Is the Wilderness just a XT with plastic trim? For those that don't know, the Outback Wilderness goes from a 13.3:1 crawl ratio to a 14.3 crawl ratio. Not only is it geared better to climb, but the torque converter is beefed up to not stall as easily when stressed. The suspension is also reworked with longer springs and struts, which allows for more wheel articulation. Will this be enough to tackle this rough trail???

We also have a 3rd gen Toyota Highlander (2014 to 2016), that has an on demand AWD system that splits wheel torque 50/50 via clutch packs when wheel slip is detected (or when the AWD lock button is engaged). The Highlander is powered by a 3.5L V6 gas engine and has a real 6 speed automatic transmission.
