DS Smith and E.ON partnered on a waste-to-energy plant at DS Smith’s Aschaffenburg mill near Frankfurt, Germany. E.ON chose ANDRITZ’s EcoFluid boiler technology and the pressure part components were crafted at ANDRITZ TermoEnergetskaPostrjoenja (ATEP) in Croatia, renowned for boiler expertise.
In January 2024, ANDRITZ undertook a logistical challenge, transporting the huge boiler modules from Slavonski Brod, Croatia, to the waste treatment plant in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Our adept handling of heavy and voluminous modules required careful planning and execution, navigating through challenging transport conditions. Leveraging our expertise in pressure part manufacturing and erection, we maximized module size while ensuring safe and efficient transport. Upon arrival, our pre-assembled concept facilitated fast installation, optimizing both erection time and quality.
