In this video, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi finishes up remainder of the battles during the reign of Umar ibn Al-Khattab [r].

Dr. Qadhi begins by discussing the conquest of the capital city of the Persian Empire, the largest and most populous city at the time, Tesifon (Al-Madain), without an actual battle.

The second conquest discussed is the battle of Nahawand in 640CE, 21 AH, also known as the "Conquest of all conquests."

This session ends with a reflection of how the Sassanid Persia, after having such a magnificent and glorious civilization, came to an end in less than 10 years under the hands of the Sahaba.
