The majority of us will, at some stage in our life, become caregivers, or require care as we age. While historically, aging and older adults have been portrayed as frail or incapable, and positive depictions of end-of-life care are almost non-existent, some recent series have challenged these outdated portrayals and given audiences a new perspective on growing older. @USCAnnenberg's Hollywood, Health & Society presents this a look at series that are thoughtfully opening up conversations about aging, the complexities of navigating caregiving, and preparing for end-of-life transitions with care and dignity.

This panel was recorded live at ATX TV Festival Season 12 (June 1-4, 2023) in Austin, TX.
