July 31, 2023...The Prudential Tower in Boston has been an architectural landmark in the city since it's completion in 1964. Standing more than 50 stories high, the views from its top floors are breathtaking. In 2023, the top three floors of the Prudential building opened to the public as a newly-installled experience called "View Boston" - a complex of restaurants, souvenir shopping space and sightseeing observation decks. On a visit to see friends and family in 2023, I bought a ticket and zipped up the elevator to see what "View Boston" has to offer. It was a beautiful clear day in July. The highlight of the visit was seeing the multi-media displays, including a very impressive 3-D model of the city awash in lighting effects which transform the model from day to night in a matter of seconds and cycle through a variety of iconic images of Boston, its people, and its history. I hope you enjoy this glimpse of the "View," as I did.
