The Epiphone Valve Junior is a 5 watt class A guitar amp. A 12AX7 is used in the preamplifier section, and the output provided by the EL84 power tube. Inside as you can see isn't fancy. Just a simple class A circuitry. Not a push/pull design. Just a simple 5W amp. For a little 5 watter, it gets LOUD!! Distortion is okay, but isn't as smooth as other amps are. I will be replacing all the caps, change the value of one of the caps, and change the values of some resistors, and install fast recovery diodes.

UPDATE 8/23/2012. I did the mods and changes almost a month ago, and the results are pleasing. I will have a new video soon.
