Emily Ruhl, a graduate student in the School of Marine Science and Policy at the University of Delaware, won first place for her research pitch at Pitch:90 2017. Pitch:90 is a fast-paced elevator pitch contest held at the University of Delaware in which student contestants showcase their research in 90 seconds or less to a panel of judges and an enthusiastic audience. Emily's research uses 3D printing with biodegradable plastics to create artificial reef structures to assist corals in rebuilding damaged reefs.
