This video details the rear cargo bed platform and drawer storage system that I built in my 3rd gen (02) 4runner. This is a low-cost and relatively simple build that my father and I completed in one day. I tried to include as many details as possible, but know that I certainly missed some instructions. FRAME: 38 ⅝” x 38 ⅜” x 8 ½” (¾” ply top & back, 1 ½” x 7” sides, ½” ply bottom)
DRAWER: 35” x 37 ¾” x 6 ⅞” (¾” ply front, sides & back, ½” ply bottom)
REMOVABLE DRAWER DIVIDER: 5 ⅞” x 36 3/4 “ x ¾ “
FALSE TOP: 33 7/16” x 20” x ½”
MAIN BED EXTENSION: 25 ½” x 48” x ¾” (in-cut at 42” to account for ceiling when folding)
EXTRA EXTENSION (seats removed): 8 ½” x 48” x ¾ “ (in-cut at 42” to match main extension)
MAIN EXTENSION SUPPORTS: 1 ½” x 1 ½ “ x 5 ⅝”
EXTRA EXTENSION SUPPORTS: 1 ½” x 1 ½” x 14 ¼”
