Have you ever wondered why negative news spreads more quickly than good news?
And why do we remember terrible life events more vividly than many positive ones?

One reason is that we have a NEGATIVITY BIAS, which means we are more likely to pay attention to, learn from, and apply negative information than positive information.

It begins in childhood since it is required to assist you in surviving as an infant - it literally keeps you alive.

However, most of us carry it into adulthood, causing us to overthink, catastrophize, and feel stressed and overwhelmed.

As a result, pay greater attention to what you're thinking. Pay attention to what they're saying. Keep an eye on them.

Look for ways to bring in a more balanced perspective when you detect them leaning into negative, black, or gloomy thinking.
