Today, we show you how to test electric wires to confirm if they are good or bad. This test, also known as the continuity test, helps confirming if an electric wire has been damaged (or not) with any (visible of not visible) cuts preventing electricity from flowing from one end of the cable to the other.

► TESTING PROCEDURE
1) Use the continuity testing setting (if available) or the lowest resistance (Ohm) setting (in the video) of your Digital Multimeter (DMM)

2) When testing a GOOD wire, the Digital Multimeter (DMM)...
* Using the DMM continuity setting
Should BEEP
* Using the DMM resistance setting
Should show a value
Should not show a "1" (left side of the display)
Should not show "OL" (Open Loop)
