Much like an exam, the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) assessment is stringent, success depends on preparation. Starting in 2023, a valid CMMC assessment will be a requirement for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Companies seeking a Level 2 certification will need a 3rd-party assessment organization (C3PAO) to vouch for them, but only a small number of C3PAOs are currently authorized.

Preparing early and thoroughly is essential: the sooner your company is ready, the shorter their wait will be to engage with a C3PAO. The more thoroughly they prepare, the greater the likelihood of “passing the exam”.
