Honda has reinvented its CR-V Hybrid crossover, aimed at rigs like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Ford's Escape Hybrid. This version boasts some very clever engineering, yet fuel economy falls short of the Toyota rival. It's a hybrid, but not a plug-in hybrid, so it's not the sort of electrified vehicle that qualifies for rebates and incentives. Also, there are full-on EVs (electric vehicles) that sell for about the same coin -- sometimes less when incentives are factored in.
