On a warm and almost windless June day, commoner Richard Gray heads out to check on his Devon Red cattle, which graze on common land on Holne Moor and The Forest of Dartmoor. A tracking device placed on one of the cows gives him clues about where to find them. In this short film, he talks about the way the cows behave when they roam across vast areas of land, how different elements of farming and landscape fit together, the Healthy Livestock Initiative, and the qualities of meat that comes from cows that live in this way.
