Today's video is a bit unusual.
I will not talk about a franchise, but instead talk about this very quirky animated movie from 1977. Wizards. A Ralph Bakshi classic.

One of the pioneers of adult animation and fantasy cartoons, Ralph Bakshi reached the peak of his career in the late 1970ies and early 1980ies, where he made a string of intriguing movies. His movies were generally overlooked though, but over time many of his films became cult classics.
And Wizards (1977) might be the most cult of them all.

It is a post-apocalyptic science fiction film, which also functions as a sword and sorcerer fantasy flick.
It is pivotal and cataclysmic battle between good and evil.
Between magic and technology.
Between democracy and murderous national socialism.

But it is also a stupid comedy with slapstick humor.

And maybe more importantly, it is a chaotic mix of minimalistic and frankly ugly animations and some of the most interesting animation, matte paintings and visual art I have seen to this day.

This is truly unlike any film you've likely seen. Or will likely ever see.
