Typically, always one main mission at Cades Cove for us...and probably for everyone. Spotting wild Black Bears.

Often described as a slice of heaven found in the Great Smokies. Cades Cove never disappoints, no matter your objective here.

An astonishing environment to seek out and hone in on finding not just average-sized black bears...Our focus would be (again)...to hopefully nab a lucky look at just the Big Fat Black Bears of Cades Cove.

Are they really here? Do the really massive ones actually roam the sloping valleys and panoramic fields of vegetation that peacefully rest within the mountainous backdrop of the cove?

With every trip we take here, we will never stop searching for bears of excessive size and colossal creation. And on this trip, it became the ultimate quest of the afternoon and early part of the evening to seek one, or two of them out for a clear view, if possible.

With boldness, and as much confidence and hope as we could muster, we headed back to Cades Cove, yet again, after a fair drought from our frequent visits here.
