I spend a week with the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N DCT to see how the dual-clutch transmission changes the Veloster N. The DCT Veloster N also gets some new toys to go along with the new transmission, including an overboost mode that bumps torque by 18 lb/ft and launch control. Regardless of which transmission you pick, the Veloster N is still one of the most fun cars you can get under $35,000 and in my opinion, is even more fun than more expensive competitors like the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf R, largely thanks to the loud exhaust that crackles and pops, and the more tossable nature of the smaller Veloster that really makes it a blast in corners. The 2021 Veloster N DCT isn't perfect, but this much fun is rare at this price point. What do you think of the Veloster N DCT? Thanks to Hyundai for providing me with this vehicle to review!
