Since it’s release, the Sonic movie has been a surprise ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak year, with the blue blur charming fans and non-fans alike. While there was at first trepidation in regards to the movie with fans outraged at the initial design for the character- who sported small eyes and weird human features- the movie ended up being a smash hit after these wrongs were righted. The movie has been massively popular since it’s release and it has continued to be one of the highest streamed movies of the year ever since it’s February release. Unsurprisingly, a sequel was quickly confirmed and with mid credit scenes teasing potential storylines (spoiler alert) with Dr Robotnik marooned on the Mushroom Planet as well as a quick glimpse of Sonic’s loyal ally Tails making an appearance in Montana.

In this video, we will focus on the latter and what Tails’ reveal will mean for the sequel and how he will fit in. We look at some of the theories, hints and comments made from the writers themselves as to what to expect for the two tailed fox- including parallels to the MCU, possible voice actors to play the part and how Tails could expand the Sonic Universe. So put on your best running shoes and get ready to dash through the world of Sonic!
