Local angler Neil gets his 2024 season up and running.

With an air temperature of 12 degrees and a water temperature of 8 degrees, the prospects looked good. A north easterly (upstream) 10mph wind meant that there was a significant chill factor and a requirement to assess the actual wind direction before each cast, as there is a tendency for it to swirl and blow intermittently from the opposite direction.

Another tide fresh salmon in the net and another angler off the mark. Happy days ;)
