👋 The mid sized truck segment is pretty hot! Each truck brand even has their off road focused trim levels. So lets check out the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and put it head to head with the all new 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. The Colorado ZR2 has an aggressive style and a nice lift kit. The Pro 4X also looks great! THis video we check out the engine differences, exteriors, interiors, bed space and then I take the ZR2 Colorado and Pro 4X Frontier on a back to back test drive to see how they drive. The 2022 Colorado ZR2 looks good on the outside, but really needs some updating on the interior. Very plain interior with everything being plastic and nothing really cool going on and there isn't really any technology. The new 2022 Frontier Pro 4X looks great on the inside and had some fantastic technology. Driving the Pro 4X back to back with the ZR2, I can tell the Nissan is much more refined and has a better ride quality. While the Colorado ZR2 has the reservoirs on the shock, it rode very stiff and wasn't that comfortable. The Bilstien shocks in the Pro 4X were super smooth and made the Nissan drive much nicer. Power is about the same in the two trucks and they both have good transmissions. The back seats are a bit cramped in the new Nissan Frontier, and the bed is a bit smaller too. So the Colorado does win there with more space. Overall the new 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X is a better truck in my opinion then the 2022 Chevy Colorado ZR2. I think Chevy is due for a full redesign. Would be fun to use the better ground clearance off road tho in the ZR2 Colorado! Pro 4X needs a lift from the factory.
