Travertine Floor Tiles can be VERY slippery. Often a over the counter type aggregate is used for DIY. There are many products to try; Sharkskin, Sharkgrip, Gator grip, etc... some try Play Sand to try to create a Non Slip profile. Those particles are very soft, brittle, and you'll find yourself having to re-apply frequently.
