Did my heart receive them.. were they even heard?
FATHER FORGIVE THEM, THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO
You were teaching me mercy, will I imitate You?

You answered the thief, when he took Your advice
THIS DAY YOU SHALT BE WITH ME IN PARADISE
My Jesus You give me this promise each day
If I go to Confession, and change my old ways

WOMAN BEHOLD THY SON.. BEHOLD THY MOTHER
She is our Mother too, and You our true Brother
She warned us at Fatima, 'Pray the Rosary each day'
Will I keep on delaying, or will I obey?

MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME?
Many times I repeated this fourth word.. mistakenly!
Till You showed that suffering is never a loss
As long as I pick up and carry my cross

You pleaded: I THIRST.. yet no water they gave You
They laughed and they mocked You: 'No one can save You!'
They offered You vinegar - will I do the same..
When I walk past the homeless, the hungry, the lame?

IT IS FINISHED You said, coming close to the end
My Holy Redeemer, my Saviour, my Friend
My Hope begins now, in this war I am in
For You hung on that tree, just to cancel my sin

My Lord and My God! I desperately cried
To Your very last word, as You finally died..
INTO THINE HANDS LORD I COMMEND MY SPIRIT
You have shown me the way.. now this war I CAN WIN IT!
