We have ALL experienced diarrhoea from time to time whether that is the result of bad food or just bad luck, but imagine that this gastrointestinal upset was your day to day life. This can be the case for sufferers of inflammatory bowel disease whether than is Crohns or ulcerative colitis


Perhaps one of the clearest messages about inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohns disease is that it is an invisible disability, sufferers appear completely normal, but may privately deal with a myriad of issues, from as mentioned diarrhoea to urgency, blood loss, abdominal pain, to issues related to malabsorption

In this video on Crohn's we'll look at what inflammatory bowel disease means, look at the difference between Crohn's and it's sibling disease Ulcerative Colitis, as well as the investigations, such as colonoscopies, the classic medications, and the latest biologicals using antibodies to try and overcome these diseases of inflammation
