As political rhetoric against electric vehicles rises, and a backlash against making and selling EVs appears to gain momentum (even if the data suggests EV sales are rising, not falling), the U.S. National Automobile Dealer Association held its annual conference last week in Las Vegas, at which both the outgoing and incoming chair had less-than-awesome things to say about EVs, the Federal Government's new proposed EPA emissions and fuel economy rules, and much more.

But what's beyond the headlines? It turns out the situation is more nuanced than some might think, and while there's certainly a lot of anti-EV sentiment, there's also some positives too.
