2020 Jeep Renegade – 5 Top Reasons on why NOT to buy the Jeep Renegade.

We’ll do car reviews for the good, bad and the ugly, the Jeep Renegade falls into two of these categories in our opinion. Not that the Renegade isn’t for some jeep lovers, but it’s certainly not for us. In this Car Review video we’ll give our opinion of the Top 5 Reasons on why you shouldn’t buy the Jeep Renegade.

Reason #1 – The jeep renegade is the first time jeep has made an entire jeep model in another country. No parts from this jeep renegade are made in the US. That’s pretty much a good enough reason for any American.

Reason #2 – The 2020 Jeep Renegade states that the seating is for 5, technically it is, but you would have to be smaller than Elny and I mean much smaller for him to fit in the middle seat of this Jeep Renegade Limited. The seats are extremely firm with no comfort whatsoever. The middle counsel is barely big enough to fit a teenager’s elbow on it, no back-seat room what so ever. The passenger seat is mechanical and has no power. So, the interior is the #2 reason on why not to buy the Jeep Renegade, and it’s mostly due to the size.

However, there are some nice features with the interior, but not enough to change our review. The display on the Renegade is HD and 8”, the gauge areas also are very well lite and HD, they look outstanding. Jeep also put some nice framing around the speakers with an image of the front of a jeep. I really liked that. The glove box has plenty of space, but the middle counsel is barely is enough to fit a cell phone in.

Reason $3 why NOT to buy the 2020 Jeep Renegade – It’s ugly, yes in our opinion the design of this jeep is horrible. We know not everyone agrees with us and that’s fine, tell us what you think below. But Jeep has come out with lots of designs and this one just isn’t working. They only sold about 360k in the US of the Renegade style since 2014 and only 600k worldwide. That may tell you something about the design of this cross over. It’s plane and simply put, ugly.

Reason #4 not to buy the Jeep Renegade – The tires, this is supposed to be an off-road cross over and they say it’s made for rough terrain. The tires on this are only 18”, they’re not going to go off road anyplace. However, we do expect most people are nt actually going to go off road with this, its more for rainy conditions and winter driving, we get that, but this is a jeep and in our opinion, jeeps are made to be really off road. And these tires aren’t going to get you too far in the jeep renegade.

If you’re going to buy a Jeep Renegade thewn we would suggest getting the Jeep Trailhawk and here is why. The Trailhawk trim is usually a best-seller among Jeep lovers since it offers outstanding off-roading capabilities. The Trailhawk trim on the 2019 Jeep Renegade is no exception to this rule. The Trailhawk is powered by a standard 2.4-L engine that delivers 180 hp and has four-wheel capabilities. The Select Train Traction Management System easily allows drivers to switch between road condition settings (auto, snow, mud, and sand), and there is a rock setting that comes in handy while off-roading on rockier surfaces.

#5 – Bad gas mileage, the jeep renegade only gets 23 MPG in the city and 29 hwy. For aa small cross over like the renegade we believe Jeep could have done much better than this. In the day and age most vehicles of this size are getting much better gas mileage than the jeep renegade gets. Especially in 2020.

We didn’t even mention how loud the renegade is, from the interior and the exterior you can hear the engine. So there are actually 6 reasons on why not to buy the 2020 jeep renegade.

Handles well on paved surfaces - Regardless of which trim level you buy, the 2019 Jeep Renegade handles well on paved road surfaces. Even the off-road rated trims offer well-mannered on-road handling. The Latitude trim offers the best balance of off-roading capabilities and on-the-pavement agility and security. Overall, the Jeep Renegade delivers a surprisingly engaging handling performance while on the pavement.

ON Board Technology is very user friendly
The technology of the Jeep Renegade is fantastic except that it has no power passenger seat and no iphone charging doc. A lot of the Jeep Renegade's competitors struggle to offer technology that is easy for all types of drivers to use. However, the Jeep's Uconnect system is entirely user-friendly. The touchscreen display has graphics that are clear and easy to read, and browsing through menu options is simple for even non-tech savvy drivers. Additionally, all of the physical knobs and buttons that can be found up front on the center console are well within the driver's reach, are clearly labeled, and take little effort to get used to.

Overall the visibility of the Renegade is extremely god. A lot of the Jeep Renegade's competitors struggle to offer technology that is easy for all types of drivers to use.
