The Dumat Al Jandal Wind Farm is a 400MW utility-scale wind power project located in the Al Jouf region of northwestern Saudi Arabia, approximately 900km north of the capital Riyadh.

The wind farm is being developed by a consortium led by EDF Renewables (51%) and Masdar (49%), and features 99 Vestas V150-4.2MW wind turbines.

Once fully operational, the wind farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power up to 70,000 Saudi households and offset 988,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

Construction on the project began in September 2019, and the first phase was connected to the Saudi grid and began generating electricity in August 2021.

The electricity generated by the Dumat Al Jandal wind farm will be sold to the Saudi Power Procurement Company under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
