This customer was saying that his temperature gauge was running at 3/4 where it usually runs at 1/2. Then sometimes it was fine at 1/2 like it should. Coolant was full so I started with a thermostat because I thought that is was getting lazy and not opening up at the right time. Then I discovered that the car's heat was not working right. I removed the water pump to see if the fins were still there and they were not. There was not enough flow threw the heat core but enough to keep the car from overheating. But It was going to be overheating very soon. New water pump solved the problem.
