I was in Shanghai China for Business. I just happend to pass a Polestar store showing the latest Polestar 4. The car genuinely impressed me, to the point I wanted to buy one. The interior looks much better and feel more premium then in the videos. The first surprise was how comfortable the seats were. I use to own a Porsche 981 GTS. The first 30% of the seats provide really soft pillow like soft cushion, then firm hardness rest of the way. Letting your body fit into the seat and hold you with GTS like side support. I presume it keep you in your seat on sharp corners, just like in the GTS. I believe the seats are better than the GTS'. This car had the plus pack, the seat material was kind like weather prof wet suite but more premium. From what I can tell, it more rugged than leather and easier to clean. So I don't mind getting a white version of this. The back inherits the front's comfort, with a long hand rest and there are plenty of leg room. Floor is slightly raised, but not as bad as model 3. I think its fine. Definity as way more room than a Macan, and I mean way more. The boot has alot of room too. Enough for 4 adults for a 2-3 day road trip. I discussed range at the end with the salesperson. it was 682km for the dual motor version with 100kwh battery, and 668km for the 80kwh pack on Chinese cycle. I have a BYD Seal that has 700km Chinese range rating. I was able to do a 402km round trip from 100% to 20% battery, with about 70% on freeway doing 103km/h. So I think Polestar's range will be sufficient. Finally I did not try out the infotaintment system. If it support Apple carplay on that big center screen, then I am buying this car. I have heard the autonomous driving/assist need work, but I am not buying this car for a computer to drive it. If this car is aiming to take sales away from Macan. I think it will smash it. Now I just need a test drive it to put through an order.
