This will show you what you need to do in order to remove the sliding rear cargo deck in a 5th Generation 4Runner. This is needed to make room for a rear platform but could be done for other upgrades you plan to do. If you want to revert to the factory non-sliding rear cargo deck, you will need to replace the carpeting as well as the rear brackets that are removed.
