For as long as I can remember I've very much been of the thinking that fast super wide angle lens are the best for astrophotography and longer focal lengths are not worth the effort. How wrong I've been. In this video I take the Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART lens out for some astrophotography and to see how a 35mm focal length works for astrophotography. Needless to say I've been blown away by the results and my entire perspective for apporpriate lenses for night time shooting has experienced a seismic shift. Hopefully this video will be useful for those of you who have fallen into the same trap as I have.
