How To Install a Frameless Shower door.
In this video I show installing a frameless shower door enclosure. It was actually kind of a random thing. We have always subcontracted out our shower glass doors but this particular job was out of the travel range of our usual glass company. Since we have taken many of them apart, and I have seen several get installed, I contacted a glass wholesaler directly to see if they would sell to us. They set me up with an account, and I guess the rest is history.
All I had to do was take measurements of the opening and send in the drawing. They responded with a quote and a cut sheet for me to approve. Then they shipped the glass right to my shop!
I look at these panels as big tiles. We use the same concepts (plumb, level, square) to get the correct installation. The hardware fastens much like other load bearing fixtures (grab bar, etc.) into the shower assembly.
In fact, I did not have to buy any extra tools or equipment to do this installation.
