History is being made. Jeep has released it's first plug-in hybrid and the first of it's kind for the Wrangler series as well. In this Cruisin' episode, Dave Stall gets his hands on a new 4xe Sahara and reviews all the features and design that went into this new innovation. Jeep says, "Forging a new path toward the future, the 2021 Jeep® Wrangler 4xe wins the Hybrid Technology Solution of the Year at the AutoTech Breakthrough Awards. This victory is another proud moment for the Jeep Brand as it pursues excellence and uncompromised adventure. Climb over tough obstacles and go an electrifying 0-60 mph in 6 seconds. A plug-in hybrid turbocharged engine gives the Wrangler 4xe an impressive 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of instant torque for heart-pounding performance off-road and on-road." For $60,000 what do you think? "Every Wrangler 4xe is delivered with a Level I (120V) charging system that plugs into a typical household outlet. You can get an even faster charge with an available safe, simple-to-use Level II (240V) charger like the Mopar® Branded TurboDX Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger. You can utilize Qmerit, our approved partner, for installation. The Level II charger can fully charge the Wrangler 4xe battery in approximately 2 hours versus 12 hours."
