Is your BMW telling you the hood is open and beeping annoyingly while you drive even when its fully latched? Recently installed a carbon fiber hood and experiencing this issue? Regardless, if you're confident your hood is properly latched and you're still getting this warning this fix is for you!

I will say the easiest way to fix this is most likely to just replace the latch which can be found at OEM BMW sites for under $100. I can't confirm this will fix it but it appears that the sensor/micro switch was irreparably damaged on my car and was no longer working.

If you're in a time crunch, or simply don't care to replace the micro switch this fix will work for you and it's easy to do. You need a 7.5K resistor that you run through the sensor. If you want to make it permanent, do something similar as shown in the video.
