Dating isn't easy—and trying to do it right is even more difficult. Well-meaning Catholics can get confused, anxious, or even disillusioned with the dating scene, especially if they've been at it for a while.

But, today, Lillian Fallon has 5 pieces of advice for single Catholics who are still navigating the Catholic dating scene:

1. Don't take it too seriously! A date's just that—a date.
2. Don't wait for "the one" to show up to start living your life. Invest in yourself today.
3. There are more fish in the sea. Don't get caught stuck with a "soul-mate" mentality.
4. If you need a break, take a break. Dating is utterly exhausting.
5. Find a "saint mentor". Do you think saints didn't date? Think again.
