Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (known as Ratchet & Clank 3 in Europe and Africa and Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal in Australia) is a 2004 third-person shooter platform video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It is the third installment in the Ratchet & Clank series and was released in North America on November 2, 2004.

The Ratchet and Clank series is still one of my favorite franchises to this day
with the third installment being a continuation of the style of the second game.

Gameplay is improved with a greater variety of weapons with a good difficulty curve throughout the game. There are also many quality of life features that improve the gameplay like the additional camera modes that effect the control scheme slightly so you can find your prefered play style. The movement mechanics still feel fantastic and I would recommend watching a speed run of the game to see how they can be used fully. The ability to upgrade weapons has been expanded to further reward you for focusing on using your favourite weapons.

Unfortunately I would say the third games soundtrack is a little less memorable than the first two games; but you do get the chance to here several tracks from the first game in stereo rather than mono. But I also found that the sound mixing isn't quite as good as the earlier games and it can sound a bit muddy when there is a lot going on.

The story is fairly fun and lighthearted with the series really finding its sense of humor with the second game, with the cut scenes offering many a laugh especially when I first played the game when I was younger when it released.

For this walkthrough I will be collecting all the Titanium Bolts and skill points and collecting all the in game trophies that you can earn in your first playthrough. This will put you in a good position to 100% the game.

I am playing this game using the RPCS3 emulator to play the HD collection in 4K and recording in1440p. It runs very smoothly with the emulator and can be played at high resolutions with great performance. Any bugs I have experienced like Ratchets helmet being too big and some visual clipping are from the HD collection and are not down to the emulator.

I am using the recommended settings found on the RPCS3 Wiki found here:

I hope you all enjoy this series and thank you for watching
