Mount Nokogiri (Nokogiriyama) is a 330m tall mountain along the western coast of the Boso Peninsula.
It is a must-visit spot for sightseeing in Chiba.
To explore Nokogiriyama, first take the ropeway to enjoy the aerial view.
The ropeway travels 680 meters between the stations at the foot and top of the mountain. There are restaurants, viewpoints, temple and a giant Buddha at the top of the mountain.
After getting off the ropeway, you can enjoy hiking/climbing the over 2,600 stairs.
Nihonji Temple is located on the slopes of Mt. Nokogiri and is known for its Nihonji Daibutsu or the giant healing buddha.
