The Ford Fiesta. A car Henry Ford II didn’t want to build. Ford finally felt they had no choice but to enter the successful Mini Car Market in Europe. It later came to the rescue in the U.S. Market saving the company millions of dollars in penalties when C.A.F.E. standards where put in place and Ford did not have the car line up to meet these new standards. It remained a tough, reliable, and excellent handling car in Europe for many years after it left the U.S. Market.
