Costco is a shopping heaven for even the most cynical shopper. From their famed $1.50 hot dog and soda combo, to their super-sized 4-foot tall wine glass, Costco has a lot of wonderful items.

However, one of the best things to buy at Costco, surprisingly, has nothing to do with food, electronics, or any other household item. One of the most affordable things at Costco is actually their gas.

Costco gas stations can be found in a corner of every store parking lot, where gas is sold for 21 cents less (as of 2018) than other stations. Shocked? We were too. This is the real reason Costco’s gas is so cheap.
