Jared Middleton, who goes by the name of SirDork730 on instagram, spends hours, painstakingly putting together, action figures toys, real world environments and small firework special effects, to create some amazing action photographs.

Jared, who’s 26 and lives in New York, started photographing action figure toys, purely as a hobby in 2013, and in his own words, his original efforts were horrible and looked like complete garbage, he simply placed action figure toys in poses, like they were shooting guns at each other.

But over time, his skills & experience from trial & error, started creating some amazing results.

Photo Gear He Uses

“I use a Canon EOS Rebel with a 18-55mm lens. I don’t use any flash, but I use flashlights and natural lighting. I keep my shutter speed as fast as possible to capture the explosions. I bring a couple different tripods for filming as well as the photographing. That’s about it!”

Thanks for watching.
